life | feeling alive… engagement | kristen + jason
Happy 2012, everyone! And I hope you’re still keeping to those resolutions you made.
But even if you fail, you got to keep going.
Doug, the boyfriend (there, I put a label on it – haha), and I are continuing our training for the Surf City Half Marathon that’s coming up in a few weeks. We weren’t as diligent with training over the holidays because of all the eating travel we’ve been doing since November. Nonetheless, we managed to run 8.5 miles last weekend and it felt great. We thought we couldn’t do it, but we persevered and got through a 500-ft elevation gain over the course of 2 straight miles. In addition to last week’s run, I also did a 26-mi ride the next day with the WB Tri Team. Both days… Hard. It was.
Once I reached the top of Griffith with the WB Tri Team, I indeed felt more human than I’ve ever felt. I often ask myself why I subject my body to its limits and I often answer with, “I like feeling alive.”

Tomorrow I shoot Kristin and Jason’s wedding. The first wedding for 2012. I’m excited!
Wishing Kristin and Jason all the best!!
